Intense Debate blows

My commenting system sucks.
I installed Intense Debate to allow other readers the chance to link their current post to their comment so that all the interwebs could see.
But what happened is I think I am replying to everyone, but in reality, it only shows up on my blog so everyone thinks I am ignoring them.

I'M NOT PEOPLE.
So, (hopefully) back to the old blogging comment set-up I go.
Don't fix what's not broken, I suppose.

I'd like to see if it's working.

Please leave a comment telling me your favorite colored unicorn and I'll respond with my favorite type of drink to go with your favorite colored unicorn.

Yes, you read that right.
Do it.

  1. I like rainbow colored unicorns... the body looks tye-dyed but the main is a perfect rainbow. And the horn is Sparkly white. And it has fake eyelashes. The really really long ones with sparkle in them too.

I put a lot of thought into that.

  2. Hmmm, I think a unicorn should be pink or rainbow colored, however green is my fav color so lets go with that! :)

  4. Pink Unicorns are my absolute favorite! (Hopefully they go well with Jack Daniels, because that's what I need a shot of right now with my Coke Zero I'm drinking at work!)

I'm so glad you've swapped commenting systems. I've been reading for a while and love the blog, but the commenting was way weird!

  7. How about a chameleon-ish unicorn that changes colors based on its mood. Was your previous comment system really that weird? I liked the fact it showed our recent post.

    1. Hi Wendy! My goal with commenting is to be able to respond to my readers. Intense Debate only allows to reply inline on the post, and most people don't go back to look. Make sure to check out the sponsor options each month! You get extra love from me!

  8. Tia...reason I asked was because I despise the Blogger default and have been researching best Blogger comment options. I was seriously leaning toward Intense Debate/CommentLuv. I thought you might like to know that on every other comment I've made on your posts, I always received an email saying I'd gotten a response from you. This one I didn't. I only knew because I checked back.

    1. Good to know! I did like the Commentluv, it's just a hassle to respond to commenters via Intense Debate. Unless they change their answering ways, you can't just "reply" to the comment in an email. I had to search your email out and send a separate reply. The reason you didn't get a response to this one is because Blogger defaults everyone as a "no-reply" blogger, so I couldn't email you, which is why I am responding this way. Erin from Homemade Happenings actually just wrote a post on this because I was also a "no-reply" blogger. Once you change it, you will start getting responses!

  9. HA...who would think leaving a simple comment could be so complicated? Thanks for tolerating my questions about this.
