To the Asshat That Questioned How I Bought My Car

I belong to a very small gym in my home town.
My schedule has always been roughly the same, and because of this, I typically see the same small crowd of people in the same small gym.

I don't talk to anyone because I hate most people.
I have never been one of those people that goes to the gym for social hour.
I am there to do what I have always done; try to keep this ass in check so I can keep up with my other love; sipping cocktails.

Par for the course, there is....that guy....at the gym.
You know the one...who feels like he JUST. HAS. to chat with everyone?
He makes small talk with most of the men, and for some reason....tries to with me.

It's worth mentioning that he doesn't bother talking to ANY of the other girls that show up at the same time.....just me.

Now, I'm not trying to act snooty, but I'm 100% sure he wouldn't even glance my way if his wife was around. Based on what I have noticed, he's a dad, mid-to-upper 40's, lives in the same town as me, he's probably a coach from one of his kid's sports teams, and seems like he would talk about grilling and mowing lawns a lot.

I have nothing against the guy.
I just don't feel like interacting with people, especially when I'm huffing and puffing on the treadmill.
I wouldn't even talk much to my own husband while at the gym...so you just know this guy is way lower on the totem pole.

My (second) all-time favorite interaction with him was when he...just happened to notice....that I didn't make it to the gym for a few months over the winter.

You know, because I was on exercise restriction due to pregnancy, and then grieving my miscarriage.

So...OF COURSE....on my first day back at the gym, he makes sure to run up and grab his jacket at the same time I'm walking through the door.

LOOKS LIKE YOU TOOK A BIT OF A VACATION FROM THE GYM OVER THE HOLIDAYS?!

I stare back at him, only able to mutter.....a vacation?!

No, not exactly....and I continue to put my stuff away and ignore him.

WELL...YOU TOOK SOME TIME OFF, AND THAT MUST HAVE BEEN A NICE BREAK.

oooohhhhh buddy.....if you only knew.

I have decided this lovely conversation is over and turn to start my workout.

Now, normally if someone blows you off like that, you would take the hint that maybe they don't want to talk to you.

But NOPE...not this guy.

I have done my best to not make eye contact...because I just know eye contact leads to a quick smile (on his end), which leads to some dumb fucking conversation about, well, nothing, and does nothing but waste my time.

I mean...for the record, this guy has never even bothered to ask my name, or any other initial formalities like you would when you meet someone new.

He always just starts talking like we were in the middle of a conversation already.
I find it odd.

So, a few months ago, I purchased a newer car to drive around in.
Mark and I are....car people.
And have a soft-spot for the Italian variety.
It's our thing.
You'll never see us running around in a Honda Civic.
We like unique looking cars with a bit of an edge.
And speed, for that matter.
Mostly speed.

We make a great team, because I'm cheap as Hell, and Mark does the research to find the best car for the best deal. It's a win-win for both of us.

So, this "new" car is ten years old, but was kept in pristine condition.
I loved the color combo and the mileage, and Mark loves the engine and the mechanics.

And it's now my daily driver.
Which I also happen to drive to the gym in.
Which Asshat has noticed, as is apparent in the next string of events.

So one random Wednesday morning, a couple weeks ago, I'm dying a slow death on the stair-machine, when good ole' Mr. Shitbag literally jumps into my line of sight and just starts talking.

His presence immediately annoys me.

My music is blaring, so I pause the stairs and pull the earbud out of my ear.

uhhhh....excuse me, what were you saying?

He squints his eyes and repeats himself slowly.

...How did YOU manage to buy THAT CAR?!

I actually think lasers darted out of my eyes at that point.
What the fuck did this ass bag just say?

As I, in no-way, have a poker face, I get all pissy and reply...

What the fuck does THAT mean?
I immediately throw my hand up

told him to

then turned around and continued my work-out.

I didn't want to make a scene.
But my heart was racing at that point.
All I'm thinking is....

What....because I'm YOUNGER than him?
BECAUSE I'M A GIRL?

What does he REALLY mean by that statement?
And WHY did he feel it was necessary to say it in the FIRST PLACE?

Is it so hard to believe that a WOMAN might be capable of working, buying, and DRIVING a "man's car"?

Is it so hard to believe that I ACTUALLY might be a GOOD driver and can handle it?
Is it so hard to believe that A MAN didn't GIFT me this car?
That I'm not just borrowing it?
That I'm not showing off?

That maybe, juuuust maybe, I deserve to drive whatever the fuck I want, just like everyone else is?

The way he approached this "conversation" was so ass-backwards, I couldn't wrap my head around it.

Why not start off with, "is that your car out there?" or "I like your car."
ANYTHING that doesn't sound back-handed and undermining.

But no....that's not what happened.
So here I am , confronted with yet another envious douche-bag, that feels it's appropriate to spout his two-cents and give me a piece of his mind.

So to the ass-hat that questioned how I acquired my car?

I bought it. Because I liked it.

And that's all I have to say about that.

All Things Pineapple

Fertility Warriors - you damn well know that the pineapple is our beacon of hope.

Pineapples are a symbol of fertility and hospitality.

Our hope and our strength. For joy and fun and laughter and family.

So sprinkle that shit all over your life! Look at all these goodies I found!

Necklace // Cover-Up // Ice-Cube Tray // Sunglasses // iPhone Case // Candle
Face Cleanser // Pool Float // Swaddle Set // Swim Trunks // Tote Bag // Wine Glasses // Hat

This pineapple pool float is being delivered to my house as we speak. I try to add a different float every summer. I can't think of anything more relaxing than floating around on a summer day in these cute pineapple sunnies.

I like to keep a candle burning in the bathroom when we have company over...something citrus and fruity always fits the bill in the summertime. This candle is perfect.

When we're out boating, a cover-up is key to easily transition from the water to outdoor dining. Pair it with this delicate necklace and some flip-flops and you're good to go.

Get your family in on the pineapple action as well with these adorable swim trunks for men and this pineapple swaddle set!

My wavy hair can be a tad unruly in the summertime, but this super cute trucker hat would cure that problem!

I don't know about you gals, but I am constantly on the search for skin care products that are free from nasty chemicals. I have used Alba products for a while and love them. This pineapple enzyme face wash smells awesome and is fertility-friendly as well!

I don't think it's possible to have too many tote bags. So many possibilities and cute designs! I am in LOVE with these gold sequin pineapples. Canvas is quick-drying as well, which is perfect for a beach day! Cover your iPhone in this cute case and you're the perfect kind of matchy-matchy.
I love a good stripe.

My favorite thing to do after work on a hot day, is grab an ice-cold glass of chard and sit by the pool. These pineapple wine glasses are perfect for me because they are stemless (I'm a bit of a klutz).
And yes, I have been known to plop a few ice cubes in my wine, call it white trash if you will, but ice cubes are even cuter when they are pineapple shaped.
Or maybe you can use these for jello shots?
The possibilities are endless!! :)

That's a wrap! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! XO

Friday Finds

Light Bulbs / PJ's / Body Wash / Rope Light / Ficus Plant / Snake Plant / Lotion / Ladder Shelf
Quick note: I don't do affiliate links. I just wanted to give you guys a chance to snag these items should you feel so inclined! :)

So you guys! Mark is going to kill me.
I keep buying things and I can't stop, won't stop.

But! I swear I can justify all of it.

The items above have all been purchased in the last week (okay, in the last day) and I'm really hoping everything pans out because it's not like I actually stepped foot into a store to peruse the aisles.

That would make an even BIGGER dent in the ole' wallet ;)

1. See those super cool, half dipped silver bulbs? When I re-did our living room, I bought this kick ass new light fixture and some new Edison bulbs to go with it.

What I didn't take into consideration when purchasing the bulbs was that the light coming from them would be the equivalent of the sun.

We have had the fixture installed since October and have probably only turned it on once.
And I think my retina's are still paying the price.

So! I'm hoping these new bulbs will replace the blinders and all will be well and the room won't be overwhelmingly yellow anymore.

2. Cute striped PJ's. So Mark doesn't exactly think it's attractive that I schlep around the house in oversized (super warm and comfy!!) sweat pants all the time.

I think his exact words were, "With those pockets and low crotch it looks like you are walking around with shit in your pants."

Cool.

So to try and make myself be a tad more feminine, I am opting for these leggings.
Although I can GUARANTEE they won't be as warm.
But if they are soft, I will wear them until the ass wears out.

3. Buying body wash and lotion isn't exactly ground-breaking. However, I don't buy name brand anything when it comes to shower gear, since most likely the generic counterparts are just as good.

But...I have these lovely flat tiny red bumps on the backs of my arms.
I've had them every winter for my whole life. Forever and ever.

And while most of the time I just ignore them, it's not attractive.

And then one of my favorite bloggers Lindsay sent me over an article with two items to supposedly clear up the problem: Neutrogena body wash and Amlactin lotion.

I plan to use them starting today to see if it makes a difference!

4. ROPE LIGHTING - You guys!!! I have a serious obsession with this nautical look. In my last post, I told you I found the perfect table lamps and now I plan to install this light (with the extra death-ray Edison bulbs I just happen to have!) in my guest room.

Funny fact...most of the rooms in my house don't have any sort of installed ceiling lighting which makes my need for easy install and/or table lamps a must.

I don't know what it is about lighting that gets me all choked up.
I seriously cannot make a decision to save my life.

I have been looking at this rope lighting for MONTHS debating on whether or not to just buy it already.

So I finally did. I'll post some photos once I figure out how to hang it!

5. Home Depot has some excellent choices in live plants and I hopped on that damn bandwagon.

I have no idea if I can even keep real plants alive in my house so I chose two that required minimal maintenance.
I mean, they are basically cactus...that's how little I have to water them!

6. And last but not least, I needed some sort of storage piece in the living room that wasn't bulky but can hold another (nautical) lamp, a laptop, and some blankets. Enter this ladder shelf.

I have yet to install it, so I'm hoping it'll look right and go together easily.

Have you ever seen the scene in Office Space where that guy goes ape shit on the printer?
Um....yea...that's me when I can't get furniture put together correctly.
Which is also why I will never shop at IKEA. Never ever.

Welp, those are my recent buys.
Anything you have bought recently that you care to share?

Happy Friday and thanks for reading!!

Fri-YAY!

Happy FRIDAY loves!!
The sun is SHINING! The birds are SINGING! It's already 50 DEGREES OUTSIDE!!

A local radio station, Kiss FM, does a 25 minute throw-back remix every Friday morning, and it just so happens to coincide with my commute to work, which makes me all the more happy, jamming out to N'SYNC and Ja Rule.

This warm weather (albeit temporary) is exactly what we need as a break from the gray cloud life we are currently living.
I am trying my best to stay positive, but sometimes a dull, monotone world, set to repeat, beats you down, you know?

And on a more gross note....this morning also brought me some weird shit.

So, it's warmer today because of the high southern winds.
And no sooner did Mark leave for work, I headed to the back door to let the dogs out and enjoy the sunshine.
And what was laying there right outside the back door?

A dead squirrel.
A BIG dead squirrel.

I freak out because honestly, some bad shit happened to it.
It clearly didn't die naturally.

I call Mark and am like...."DID YOU SEE THE SQUIRREL WHEN THE DOGS WENT OUT THE FIRST TIME?"
He says no.
I thought maybe Burn killed it, but it wasn't there mere minutes ago!

Burn is rather predatory, so I knew they wouldn't just leave the poor guy alone.
I had to get rid of it.

VOMIT COMET.

So I headed outside with the largest garbage bag I could find.
Once I was over it, I started to assess the situation because honestly where the hell did it come from?

My only conclusion was it was dropped by a hawk or the high winds knocked it off our roof?
I have no friggin' clue.

All I know is it was totally fucking gross and I can't believe some of the things I have to deal with sometimes.

So I grab the fucking thing by the tail and use the rest of the garbage bag to block me from seeing it flail around.

UGH.

I dispose of it over the fence and spray the area with vinegar so my dogs don't sniff it and catch something vile.

Gross. Okay, moving on.

Oh! I should mention, those daisies in the photo above?! $1.99 from Trader Joe's!

So pretty, right?

They are sold in small bunches, so all you have to do is clip the ends and they will start to bloom within a couple days.
I think it's a better bang for your buck, because they are around much longer since they haven't even BLOOMED yet!

We are officially DONE with the first of our six week PGD set-up.
I don't count weekends because they fly by and I manage to stay totally busy.
It's the days I am at work, in front of my computer, where the endless Googling occurs.

I just love being able to check things off in my calendar, even if it's just a line through the prior day!

Now, I shouldn't be spending money, but summer is (hopefully) right around the corner, and I had to re-evaluate my bikini situation.

See....I will be going through many rounds of shots in my stomach and butt during the warmer months, and while I'm hoping to still rock a two-piece, I think having something a tad more modest to hide the bruising/swelling is in order. And the beer bloat when it's okay to drink!!

Therefore, I purchased a few high-waisted bikini bottom options from Target, and I'm hoping when they arrive next week, something will pan out. If not..I may be asking you swell people for some other options!

Any favorites? (Side note...this chick has zero ass...trying these on should be interesting....)

This post has been random, and weird.
Thanks for reading and have a happy weekend!!

No-Buy November

Guys.
I was hit with a bit of humble pie over Halloween weekend, and it got me thinking about spending in general.

So, a little back story.
I finally bit the bullet and upgraded my dumb brick phone to a real, adult phone.
It was gold and shiny and beautiful.
I was nervous to upgrade because I can be on the clumsy side and I tend to drop my phone a lot.
Like, a lot a lot.
Or spill things on it. Such as a bottle of Chardonnay. #pouroneoutformyhomies

But alas, I pretended for a hot minute I was truly grown up with adult grippy hands and set off to get myself a glorious new phone. One that would allow me to not only hold a conversation without saying, "wait a minute, I can't really hear you," or stream music AND download the Instagram app, or use emojis.

I know. These are all things I couldn't really do with my brick phone.

I call it my brick phone because it is literally the weight and structure of a brick because it includes some sort of military grade case that is screwed in place.
Not water, nor dropping, nor drunken escapades could damage this thing.

And I've been happy as your mom's clam for two years with it.

Until I got my new phone.

And realized what I was missing.
And then I was all, "pssshaa, this brick phone is shit, I can't believe I ever used it" and tossed it aside like a bad habit.

So here I am with my fancy new phone with it's fancy camera and plenty of storage and emojis.

For a week.

Until I fucking smashed the thing to pieces.

Note to self: Do not place your phone on the lid of a hot tub, on a magazine, and then accidentally push the lid a bit causing it to drop to a weird angle. This will cause your new shiny phone to toboggan launch off the side of said lid down a concrete flight of stairs, to it's demise.

Don't do that.
Because the result isn't pretty.
And now I have a busted phone whose alarm won't shut off and I can't do anything about it because the screen is completely black and broken.
Cool.

Anyways, back to the current state of affairs.
Spending.
We finally (FINALLY!) paid off our credit card at the stroke of Halloween. And now I can work on repaying some other debts.

November is an expensive month, but not necessarily for fun things.
We needed boat insurance, so we bought that.
I needed to enroll us in new health insurance for 2016, so we pre-paid for the first month.
The dogs need shots and pills, so we gotta pay for that junk.
We have Thanksgiving travel and an annual SHRIMP BOIL party this month.
And I had to fucking pay for my damn phone IN FULL before I can even contemplate getting a new one.

Needless to say, even though the credit card is paid off for trivial things, the big things just hit so we're kind of back at square one.

Therefore, I decided to declare this month No-Buy November.
Where we don't buy stupid shit just because we can.
That means no clothes, no shoes, no trinkets for the house.
Only important things and only if they are absolutely necessary.

Because Christmas is right around the corner, dudes.
And I am NOT heading into that month with debt stress. I can't and I won't.

As much as I would love to just buy the ever loving shit out of Homegoods right now...and I may or may not be drooling thinking about it, I will not step foot into that place until December.

So tell me, how do you keep your spending in check? Will I be able to last the whole month?
Keep it real. Thanks for reading!

Non-Stop

If I had to summarize the last few weeks in one phrase, that would be it.
NON. STOP.
I haven't had a moment to think, or blog, or anything outside of the craziness of the weekends followed by work.

Work is work, and it ebbs and flows, but these last few weeks have been nuts. Luckily there haven't been any late hours or working weekends, but the constant upkeep of the 8:30-5 schedule has been more than enough.

I took off from the gym all last week in an attempt to keep things somewhat normal.
I chose an extra bit of sleep over that extra stress on my body.

All the chaos started two Friday's ago when my cousins from Indiana stayed the weekend for our other cousin's wedding.  At only 23 years old, she has a darling little 3 year old girl.
She couldn't more my niece if she tried.
Fearless, gentle, a force to be reckoned with. Pleasant, not so graceful, well-mannered and even tempered.
We honestly could not have asked for better house guests.

Although it throws off our normal schedule, staying up later, waking up earlier, broken sleep...it was so much fun.
We had a little pizza party Friday night, and Saturday most of our immediate family showed up for an unannounced pre-wedding party (without the bride) before all the festivities.
We played in the park, took a golf cart ride to the ski jump, and hit up a local festival Saturday evening.

Sunday was the wedding. We put on our best show, and I managed to go to Black Out City.
Not my best form, but I heard I was more than pleasant through the whole thing....even offering to make everyone dinner after the wedding (what?). My cousins found me roaming in the back yard before tucking me into bed. Classy.

Monday was the drunken weird semi-hangover from Hell followed by a bit of negations for Mark's new boat.  His "little" dream boat that he has been searching for for nearly ten years.
As the day went on, we said goodbye to our house guests, and I shooed away the rest of the family members that showed up for a meal, after I supposedly invited them over after I blacked out.

People should know that if I am looking at them cross-eyed, I may be fibbing about wanting to see them the next day. Live and learn!

Anyways, it was the plan to buy his boat next April, but that's the thing about plans...they change.
I suppose you have to strike when the iron is hot when there are only 65 of these babies in the world!

I swear, sometimes I feel like I woke up in every 80's movie ever made!
(In case there are any boat freaks reading...it's a 1988 31 Cigarette Bullet...complete with a tape deck)
So as we sorted our finances and came to terms with this new purchase, I shuffled through another work week.
Mark was sick and I avoided him like the plague, taking extra vitamins and sleeping when I could, which was rare.  An annoying cough kept me awake more nights, but we trudged on.
Can I also note that this is the FIRST time in the ten years we have been together that HE was sick and not ME!? Halle-freaking-lujah!

Friday afternoon the boat settled into our home. Mark was magically feeling better and I came home early to find all the men in my family drinking beers and grunting at this monstrosity.

I hosted a game night with some ladies Friday evening...calling it Supper Club, then we headed to Lake Michigan for the weekend and purchased a slip next to Mark's brothers boat.
I must admit, I had a few nightmares about hitting a wave and flying out at 80 mph.
The waves Saturday were around four feet, but smooth as glass Sunday morning.
We did bounce around a tad Saturday, but at 31 feet, the boat kind of just skipped over everything.

I am tan. Very tan, but the hell if I didn't burn my entire face and chest on the water this weekend.
Concealer is now my BFF.

All in all, we had a blast! I went to bed at 8pm last night to prove it.
Nothing was prepared for the week. I woke up at my normal time this morning, hit the gym, meal-prepped, gave the dogs their food, got myself together and flew into work by 8:30.
Huge sigh of relief to be at my desk, but at the normal routine, and here I am blogging about it.

How was your weekend? Do anything super fun?!
Bye, Felicia!

Use Your Words

Growing up, my mama was always fiercely adamant to tell me I had to be independent.
To make my own money, my own decisions, and not rely on a man to live.
That mantra, compounded with my dad telling me to not throw away my degree by having kids, set me up to be a working woman.

I think I said ok mom and ok dad a million times just to get them off my back.
But these days?
I get it.

I still married a man that I love with every inch of my heart.
And I will still have kids regardless of working.

But what I really learned, from all those days of listening to my parents preach, is that, even in 2015, it is still an uphill battle for equality in the workforce.

You must develop a certain wit and personality that not only meshes with the men in the office, but keeps you feminine.
Finding that balance of authoritative and confident yet uniquely tailored and chic, is what I strive for.
I don't know everything, but fine tuning the skills that I do have is what makes me a force to be reckoned with.

I have been at my new place of work for approximately four months now.
Knowing I would be the only full-time woman, I could only assume I would have an uphill battle.
A battle for equality, a battle for understanding and respect, and most importantly, a battle knowing that I was an outsider coming into a tight-knit group, in a higher position than most.

Say what you want, but it is still glaringly obvious that some men in this world simply do not listen to or respect women.  I would have loved to say that isn't the case at my new place, but I have witnessed it first hand.

Now, I can see why there could be an issue with communication. The role that I walked into was created for me. Prior to my arrival, they had a front-desk receptionist with the title of Office Manager.
These women before me were secretarial in nature, never truly embracing what a real Office Manager does.
It does not make them wrong, but it didn't help my case in the slightest.

So here I am, without much of an introduction, elbowing my way to the top as the company Office Manager, and most people here still think I am a receptionist with a pushy attitude.
And there has been backlash because of it.

So what do I do?
Instead of taking the low road, and lashing out to individuals who simply do not understand my role and my authority, I have decided to be at the forefront of our monthly staff meetings.

To give MYSELF the proper introduction I deserve.
To inform the masses of what exactly it is that I do, why I am here, why I was hired, and why my presence is not only needed, but will be met with respect and gratitude.

Will I be ruffling some feathers? Sure. You can't please everyone. But for the greater good of the company, it's time to reign it in on the machismo attitudes and get some rules and policies and procedures in place that everyone can adapt and abide to.

It's that simple.

So I have been spending my days writing and re-writing my speech.
Fine tuning my Power Point.
Dissecting each sentence to ensure I don't sound whiny, or too feminine, or too angry.

My message is simple.
I am here to help make this company great. There will be change. It is for the better.
Get on board or go home.

It will be presented with a bit of finesse and wit and facts. Mostly facts.
Without emotion and without pleading for likability.

No one hires an Office Manager to make friends. I have a mutual respect and understanding for those that came before me, but the policies and procedures I am putting in place are meant to shift the focus away from the Principals so they, in turn, can run a successful company.
It is not their responsibility to track every employees' move.
It's mine.
It is not their responsibility to deal with HR issues.
It's mine.
And the list goes on.

So you ladies reading this....remember, say what you mean. Use your words. Say them with grace but don't stutter or get too touchy-feely. You would not expect that from a man, why would they expect it from us?
There is plenty of other times to be girly and feminine.
But demanding what you need in your life is not one of them.

Just make sure you know your facts. Do your research. Look at the other side and big picture.
Know when to step away or stay silent. That's the tact part.

Not go on wit' yo' bad self.
Girl. Power.

Making it about me

Good morning loves,
I hope everyone had an eventful, yet restful holiday season.
I took the time to refocus on the numba' one stunna'....me.

See, amidst all of the emotions that goes along with infertility and treatments and insurance and all that, I managed to get this wonky head problem. There was a patch on the top of my head, that made almost a direct line from my hair line to the crown of my head, that was insanely tender to the touch.
I thought, at first, I had had one too many tight ponytails or top knots that threw off my game and pulled my hair too much, causing the soreness.
But it didn't go away for weeks.
It started about a week before Christmas, and thankfully subsided by New Year's Day.
After hitting up all the usual Google antidotes and ruling out a tumor, fibromyalgia, psoriasis, shingles, and swollen lymph nodes...I finally found a few forums that talked about how anxiety can cause the muscles in your head to tense up to the point of a consistent, tender, dull ache.

And to be honest, at that point I honestly thought I felt fine.
Cool as a cucumber.
But apparently I was wrong.
The tension from anxiety can last for a long time after the episode takes place....days, weeks, even months.
And since I am not really one to take a bunch of meds to fix the problem, I took it upon myself to fix it.
Fix me.

Festive Fall Touches

Ever since summer turned to fall in the blink of an eye and I said farewell to lazy weekends in the pool, my sights have turned inward, to my home.
I don't think I spent more than two minutes actually looking at each room, unless you count the bathroom mirror and shower wall. Those, I stare at almost daily.

There is much to be done. Much to be organized. Much to be renovated.
But until then?
We get festive.

A few pumpkins here, a swirly corn cob there, and all of a sudden, I am starting to embrace the cooler temps, knowing there is always a blanket close by to keep me warm.

Work- Ready in 15 minutes

Someone's got a case of the Monday's.
Does anyone else get super exhausted for the first couple of days of Ye Old Monthly Hag?
I sure do.
I have been trying to combat the tireds and bloats by making a point to work out every day.
Today was no exception.

We be shoppin'

Bayou said he needed pants because he wore his last pair of "good" pants to work and splattered paint all over them.  Good pants are defined, per Bayou, as the pants that cut off the circulation to his balls.  Apparently gross, super sagging carpenters jeans with too many pockets, that are ill-fitting = socially acceptable pants in Bayou's eyes, and pants actually fit his small man ass = ball smashing goodness.  I also didn't realize he had elephantiasis, but I digress.
